Patna : , Since Saturday night, 27 people including six software engineers and two doctors were arrested by the Patna Police.Upendra Sharma (SSP) of Patna stated that the police in Patna have launched a special operation against those who violate liquor prohibition laws.
Six software engineers were taken into custody from Kankar Bagh, a Kankar Bagh area hotel.Sharma stated that they came to Patna for the marriage of a close friend.
We are looking for hotels that offer accommodation as well as alcohol facilities.Sharma stated that they had conducted an operation at Ginger Hotel in Patna Central and detained two drunken doctors, Sailendra Shekhar & Kashish Choubey.
According to police, Shekher fled the hotel after he saw cops approaching him.He was captured however.
Sunil Kumar (SHO) of Kotwali Police Station stated: “We captured Kashish Chaubey, but Shailendra Shekher was with her as she drank the liquor and managed to flee from the hotel.We asked her to contact him and he eventually returned.
Both doctors were breathalyzed and found to be positive for alco-meter.
Shekher, a Kahalgaon native from Bhagalpur’s district of Bhagalpur is associated with a Patna hospital.
Kashish Chaubey hails from Pune and is associated with Pune Medical College.Both were here to interview at Patna AIIMs.
We have also conducted breath analyses of drivers and carried out special drives on roads.Sharma stated that 19 people were detained during the road trip.
