Doddaballapur (Karnataka) September 10 : Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani on Saturday branded the murderers of BJP Yuva Morcha activist Praveen Kumar Nettare who was hacked to death by bike-borne gangsters on the 26th of July in Dakshina Kannada district, as cowards.
Addressing a large audience at the BJP’s ‘Janaspandana’ grand event in Doddaballapur close to Bengaluru to mark the completion of one year in the office of the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and his three-year tenure of BJP in Karnataka, Irani stated that the goal of the perpetrators was to create fear in the minds of people.

“Praveen has given his life for his nation.I commend the organisers for honoring him by displaying his photo in this place,” she said.

“The grave of terrorist Yakub Memon was adorned during the time of the Congress government.Rahul Gandhi doesn’t have the courage to challenge this.

If Rahul Gandhi is against terrorism, why did he did not condemn this,” Irani questioned.

She added that the Congress has also included people who swore anti-India slogans in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“This is an anti-national crime.It is a travesty to the nation to stand with those who have sparked protests against the nation.

This anti-national act should be challenged by Congress members,” the Union minister stated.

She also denied the Congress of discriminating against the inhabitants of Karnataka.

“During its time in the Centre, Congress gave Rs 2,00 crore to Karnataka through the Central Finance Commission.The BJP is the one that runs an engine-driven government, has donated 5 crore to the state.
