Mapmygenome India Ltd has donated one lakh Covid test kits to the Telangana state government.As part of this, recently, the CEO of the company handed over the donation kits to the Minister of State for IT, Industries and Municipalities KTR at Pragati Bhavan.
Speaking on this occasion, she said that the donation was made as part of Zymo Research’s initiative to donate one lakh Covid test kits to India.She said her team was working with the respective state governments to facilitate the distribution of Covid test kits in all the major states of the country.
The Covid test kit includes a new DNA / RNA shield – Direct Detective Reagent, collection equipment, the source said.
She explained that the collection and maintenance of samples with this kit is very safe, and the test result will come in a very short time.
As part of curbing the corona, Mapmygenome has always been at the forefront of testing and prevention.
Dr Mark Van Eden, vice president of business development at Zymo Research, said that DNA / RNA shield-direct detection would facilitate the administration of Covid tests in countries where corona cases are on the surge and this would remove barriers to swab collection.
Mapmygenome was started in 2013, and it offers personalized health solutions based on genetic tests.
