Kapil Sharma, Nandita Das, and Shahana Goswami introduced their film Zwigato’s second trailer in Mumbai on Wednesday.The actors and the director spoke about their film in detail, including how it was received in Korea when it premiered at the 27th Busan International Film Festival last year.
Kapil Sharma, who plays a food delivery agent in the movie, stated that the film had struck a chord with the audience in South Korea.He added that people were crying after watching the film, even though they didn’t know him for comedy.
Shahana plays Kapil’s wife, who also wants to work and support her family.
Kapil Sharma also said that he wanted to try his luck with a new genre and showcase different facets of his personality.
The film shows his character’s journey from getting fired from his factory floor manager job to all the trouble that the app and his new job bring into his life.
Zwigato is set to be released soon.
Comedian Kapil Sharma shared a motion poster of the film on Instagram, announcing the release date as March 17.In the caption, he called Zwigato “the most awaited order of the year” and “a heartwarming tale about a food delivery rider.”
Nandita Das, the film’s director, described Zwigato as a story about new urban India that normalizes several things around us.She also said that she collaborated with Sameer Nair as the producing partner for the film Zwigato, as he was perfect to tell the story about new urban India.According to her, the movie is not just about the gig economy but also everything that people tend to normalize around them.
