New Delhi, Sep 9 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met on Friday with Lieutenant.Governor V.K.Saxena was the governor for the first time since the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s home in August.It was the first meeting of the week -that is held every Friday, between the Chief Minister and Lieutenant.Governor, following the raids.
After the event, CM Kejriwal said that the meeting ended in the “happy atmosphere” and that they discussed a range of issues that concern the capital city in the meeting.
“We have weekly meetings with the Lieutenant Governor.
However, for the last few weeks meetings were not held because I was out of town.The meeting was concluded today in a comfortable atmosphere and we all discussed various questions of the city.” Kejriwal said.Kejriwal.
“I have requested to him that we jointly collaborate on issues related to the municipal corporation,” the Chief Minister added.
The issue of garbage mountains and the need to improve the system of sanitation in the city, were also addressed at the gathering, Kejriwal told the media.
In response to the question of the ongoing dispute over a variety of issues with L-G following the raids at Sisodia’s residence The Delhi Chief Minister stated: “Whatever happened was unfortunate.I’m hoping that the situation will be resolved soon.Today we had a very good relationship between us two of us.”
