WhatsApp chief executive Jan Koum has resigned from the company after reported differences with the parent company, Facebook.According to a news report in The Washington Post, Koum has been frequenting the WhatsApp offices less on Facebook’s campus in Silicon Valley.
Among other issues, the idea of WhatsApp Payments and WhatsApp for Business – both big bets in India – are said to have not gone down too well with Koum.


WhatsApp’s Jan Koum’s announcement came after he reportedly had disagreements with the message app’s parent firm Facebook over privacy

“It’s been almost a decade since Brian and I started WhatsApp, and it’s been an amazing journey with some of the best people,” Mr Koum said in a post on his Facebook page referring to co-founder Brian Acton.“But it is time for me to move on.”


Notably, Jan Koum’s exit came at a time when Facebook is in the middle of data breach row.

3)Neeraj Arora is an IIT-Delhi pass-out.After his bachelors he did MBA in Finance and Strategy in 2006 at the Indian School of Business.

4)He started his career with cloud solution company Accellion in the year 2000 after graduating from IIT-Delhi.

5)Arora has also served as a board member of Paytm.
