Agartala August 29, : Basing its success on the ‘double engine’s success and its resurgence, the BJP will return to power following 2023 Assembly elections with the support of two thirds, BJP President J.P.Nadda stated on Monday in Agartala after a sequence of meeting with the top leaders of all levels and the frontal authorities.Nadda who arrived in Tripura on Sunday for two-day trip to boost the BJP and its frontal organizations in preparation for at the coming Assembly elections in the first quarter of next year.
declared that after 35 years of mismanagement of CPI-M’s government the BJP when it came to power in 2018 embarked on a journey of growth and development, and also established peace and harmony among ethnic groups.
“The tradition of bandh (shut down) and road blockade violence against insurgents and political parties was stopped under the BJP administration,” Nadda claimed while speaking with journalists.
The two-day Tripura visit provided a boost for the crucial tribal vote bank (the state has 20 tribal reserve seats of 60 seats) In his trip, he was able to meet tribal leaders MLAs, tribal leaders, the leaders of the BJP-linked Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) and members of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) an important constitutional body that was established in 1985.
When addressing a gathering of the public in the TTAADC headquarters in Khwumlung (a tribally dominated region) located 20 kilometers away from Agartala, Nadda said that only the BJP can help develop the socio-economic aspects of the tribes.
Nadda declared: “With BJP’s initiative, women were elected President for the first time in India from the tribal community.There are 8 ministers in the central ministry who are from the tribal community.
In addition, there five tribal ministers in Tripura council of ministry.
“The ministry of tribal affairs was established by the central government, headed by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.” he said.
Citing the Chief Minister Manik Saha and former CM Biplab Kumar Deb, who were also on his side at the press conference, Nadda said that the promises made in the “Vision Document-2018” have been fulfilled.
“The coming new Special Economic Zone (in southern Tripura) could alter the economic landscape of Tripura.Thanks to the efforts of the BJP government, pineapples, jackfruit , and lemon are being shipped to many countries, which allows farmers to earn more money,” Nadda pointed out.
The BJP chief claimed that with the expansion of railway lines in the southernmost region of Tripura tourism and economic development and other communication facilities are being improved in large ways.
“For women empowerment, the Tripura government has already announced 33 percent reservation in jobs in the government.
The state’s budget for the year has been increased from 12600 crore to 27,000 crore.The per-capita earnings of Tripura’s residents of Tripura has risen dramatically,” Nadda said.
