New Delhi, Sep 1 : The GST gross revenue collection in August saw an increase of 28 percent on a year-to year basis, and were at 1,43,612 crore in the month.According to figures released by the Finance Ministry on Thursday, GST collections in August 2021 were 1,12,020 crore.
Of of the total collection, CGST was Rs 24,710 crore, SGST was Rs 30,951 crore, IGST was Rs 77,782 crore (including the Rs 42,067 crore collected for import of goods) and the tax was at 10,168 crore (including Rs 1,018 crore gathered for import of products).
“The increase in GST revenues is a direct result of the various measures implemented by the GST Council in the past to ensure greater compliance.
Better reporting combined with economic growth has had a positive effects on GST revenue on a regular basis,” a Ministry statement said.
