Shaneer N.Sididqui Dubai 27 August : India will begin their Asia Cup campaign with a high-voltage match against the arch-rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The last time the two teams played in the T20 World Cup in October last year, Pakistan had thrashed India by 10 wickets.With scores to be settled on Sunday the supporters of the Men in Blue are overflowing with enthusiasm as are their elated Pakistani counterparts.

Fans of both teams have been spotted in large numbers in the practice field for the last three days, hoping to get an image of the cricketers of their teams.

“Immediately after the game, I will take an international flight scheduled to the UK where I study and work.I was born in Dubai and raised in Dubai.Unfortunately, India lost the one T20 match I witnessed between the two teams here.It’s sad because my friends have been calling me “lucky” because of Team India since then.Therefore, I ask for the Men in Blue to make the record clear on Sunday, and create a memorable farewell to allow me to walk straight to the airport with pleasant memories.”

Shariq Khan who is who is a resident of Dubai Shariq Khan, a resident of Dubai, said that he went to watch the India-Pakistan game here last year with his family and children.

“While India’s loss was a sad day for me I reassured my children that defeat and victory are both part of the game.And that the next time we play, we will triumph.I’ll take my children to the match on Sunday and this time the children are eagerly waiting to see the chance to witness an India victory.We have India flags and shirts in the cupboard and the kids have created posters with their own hands, and are enthusiastically supporting the team.

In the meantime a 10-year-old Yash Raj who had waited for hours to see the glimpse of his most loved players said, “I have been waiting for the last two days to see my favorite players in person and take photos with them.I’ll be going to the ground for the first time this Sunday and I’d like to witness India achieve a crushing win.”

Ram Babu, who has traveled to Chandigarh to attend the game was also seen in the vicinity of the team bus waiting to see an image of his favorite cricketers.

Ram Babu has travelled to various countries over the past few years to see India play Pakistan as well as Bangladesh, Dubai and England.

“As an avid fan, I would like to have a bilateral series played between India and Pakistan.

I also believe that India will be able to avenge their World T20 defeat against Pakistan on Sunday,” he said.

Saad Aqueel is a public relations professional working in Dubai and Dubai, will observe a game between India and Pakistan in the stadium for the first time this Sunday.

“It will be an unforgettable day for me.Despite having put in lots of effort, I was unable to obtain a ticket for the World T20 clash between the two teams last year.This time, I was able to get the ticket after an extended wait.I would like Team India to make the moment memorable,” he said.

Even though the Indian team management has supported Kohli to be a star all the way through the season, the cricket legend has also received support from numerous Pakistani fans, who have called Kohli an outstanding player who they would like to watch in playing in the field.
