BJP question Cong’s silence over R’thana’s crimes in R’than

New Delhi, Aug 17 : The BJP on Wednesday raised questions about the stoicism of Congress the top leadership on the rise of crimes against women as well as atrocities committed against Dalits and mob killings in Rajasthan.
Referring to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data the Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said: “Rajasthan is setting new records in crimes against women as well as atrocities committed against Dalits and vandalism committed by religious groups.In the present, Rajasthan is at number one in the instances of sexual rape in the country.It is and is second in regards of the trafficking of minor girls.”

“Congress’s top leaders, which includes Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visit the state for vacation , but do not speak out about the degrading the law-and-order situation,” he said while hosting a press conference at the BJP headquarters in here.

Shekhawat pointed out that on the 15th of August 15, the day the nation was celebrating Independence Day, a young man known as Chiranjilal who earned his living by selling vegetables in the village in Rajasthan’s Alwar district was slain to death by residents of Muslim group.

The Union Minister said that in the past three years, Rajasthan has set new records in mob lynchings, violence against women and other crimes against the religion of a specific community.

“Where do Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and the champions of human rights been since an incident of immense proportions occurred in Rajasthan?” he questioned.

Shekhawat stated that Rahul as well as Priyanka Gandhi who shed crocodile tears over events in Hathras and Unnao they should end their silence over the situation in Rajasthan too.
