Jr.NTR’s eagerly anticipated Telugu film “Devara,” directed by Koratala Siva, has created quite a buzz.This movie, with a whopping budget of Rs 300 crores, also marks the debut of the late Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, in a leading role.
The film’s cinematographer, Rathnavelu, recently shared a significant update.
He revealed that they completed an extensive underwater action sequence in the middle of the sea, which involved filming both underwater and on the surface.The photo he shared showed him working with specialized equipment called Nauticam in a swimming pool.
The photo showed experts in swimwear in the background, along with a collage featuring Jr.NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and the movie’s villain, Saif Ali Khan.
In addition to this, there’s news about the film’s streaming rights.Netflix has reportedly secured the digital rights for a substantial sum.This deal marks the highest-ever price paid for a film starring Jr.NTR in a leading role.It’s expected that this lucrative deal will bring substantial returns to the film’s producers.
“Devara” is set to premiere on Netflix sometime in the second week of May 2024, following its theatrical release on April 5, 2024.Currently, 50 percent of the shooting has been successfully completed, and the film has also enlisted Hollywood stunt master Kenny Bates for its high-octane action sequences.
In this film, renowned Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan takes on the role of the main antagonist, sharing the screen with acclaimed actors like Shine Tom Chacko and Prakash Raj, who have significant roles in the movie.This blockbuster is a joint project between NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
