New Delhi, Sep 4 : Rahul Gandhi while speaking at the ‘halla-bol” protest on Sunday in Ramlila Maidan here, declared the opposition had no choice other than to address the people since all institutions are under attack.He stated, “Bharat Jodo Yatra is being planned because the media isn’t with us, while other organizations are being pressured by the government.The opposition has no option other than to directly confront the people and inform them of the truth about the government.”
He repeated that opposition parties were not permitted to address in Parliament on issues that concern the people.In a defiant criticism of Premier Narendra Modi, he said, “I want to tell the Prime Minister that India isn’t of two of your closest friends however, it is of the people who are poor of India.”
The Congress leader claimed that the UPA governments at the Centre lifted 27 crore people out of poverty, and the current government has pushed them back into poverty.Rahul Gandhi said that the current price of oil is comparable with the prices in the UPA regime.
He said that the nation has been weak due to the combination of fear, hate and inflation.
He stated that Congress workers fight for the Constitution of the United States and for its country.
