“The result is proof of the hard work and research we invested in,” Mehta added.

Discussing the challenges the two companies faced in the course of the process of preparing, he said: “The electricity pipelines and gas pipelines were about 100-200 meters away.It was important to keep these aspects in mind.We also had prayer in the early morning.”

Joe Brinkman of Jet Demolition who was in attendance with Mehta in the press event, said that the “waterfall implosion” method was used to demolish the tops of towers since a number of residential structures were built close to the site.

The twin towers, which were illegally built in over a period of 9 years, were removed in just nine seconds.

After the successful conclusion of the demolition process there was a roar of happiness among the workers of Edifice Engineering.
