San Francisco, Aug 5 : With a goal to encourage curated interactions, the popular social audio service Clubhouse is testing an innovative feature that lets any user or group of users create their own carefully curated “House” on the platform.Users are now able to sign to create Houses however, the platform has stated that it would only allow new houses gradually to collect feedback and make any necessary changes to the service.
“Think of Houses as private hallways that are reserved for your favorite people.You can walk in any time, walk between rooms, chat with friends, and even meet your friends.” the website said in an article on its blog.
In a string of tweets Co-founder Paul Davison said that “the best social experiences aren’t accessible to all.They are small and carefully curated.This is what creates trust, intimacy and closeness”.
“The new graph structure allows any person or group to create their own House — with its own character culture, content moderation and rules.The members are able to meet often, talk and move between rooms.
“House members’ lists will be made public, as it’s more enjoyable that way.The clubhouse’s many rooms will remain open to the public and everyone will have the chance to walk through the halls of the clubhouse in search of new cultures and people from all over the world.Only the rooms in the House will be kept private,” he added.
In April, Clubhouse confirmed that it is testing a brand new in-room gaming feature that is available on both iOS and Android platforms.
In the course of the first launch the app launched the game “Wild Cards” which is an array of questions designed to stimulate conversations as well as help users get meet each other more.
