No more water shortages under ORR! KTR paving for Rs 200 crore works in Maheshwaram!

Municipal Minister KTR said there would be no more water shortages in the Hyderabad ORR.KTR said the credit for solving the drinking water crisis in the city goes to the KCR government.

KTR has inaugurated the Rs 200 crore work being carried out in Maheshwaram constituency as part of ORR project phase-2 undertaken by the Water Board to provide drinking water to colonies, gated communities, gram panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations outside the GHMC under the Outer Ring Road.

On Saturday, the foundation stone was laid for various development works in Thukkuguda, Jalpally, Mirpet and Badangpet and for works to be undertaken by the water board.Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the KCR government had brought Krishna and Godavari water to the city and alleviated the water woes of women.

As the city of Hyderabad has expanded to ORR, ORR Phase-1 has been completed at a cost of about Rs 700 crore to address drinking water issues in the region as well, and ORR Phase-2 is now underway with another Rs 1,200 crore.As part of this, about Rs 200 crore has been allotted to Maheshwaram constituency alone.

He said the release of Rs 1 crore in the past would have been a great thing, but now in a single day Rs 371 crore has been laid for development works in Maheshwaram constituency.Education Minister Sabita Indrareddy, Chevella MP Ranjit Reddy, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, MLAs Patnam Mahender Reddy, Katepally Janardhan Reddy, Yoge Mallesham, Jalmandali MD Danakishore, Technical Director Ravikumar, Operation Director-2 Swamy, ZDP Chairperson Reddy were present on the occasion .
