CM KCR conducted a review on the progress of work on irrigation projects in the state of Telangana.KCR has issued several instructions to the Irrigation Department officials in this regard.
The CM inquired about the progress of approvals of DPRs for Godavari projects.The Chief Minister directed the officials to submit all the details and additional information required by the Central Water Board and get the clearances expeditiously.
CM KCR directed the irrigation authorities to prepare the DPR of BR Ambedkar Pranahita project expeditiously and submit it to the Central Water Board and Godavari Board.The CM also directed the Godavari Board officials to keep in constant touch with them and prepare proposals to remove 5 Godavari projects from the Gazette notification and send them to the Central Water Board.
Officials have been directed to take steps to call tenders for important projects in the current year in the Department of Irrigation.
The CM directed the irrigation authorities to call for tenders for the barrage to be constructed as part of the BR Ambedkar Pranahita project, the Chennur excavation project and the Kupti project headed for construction on the Kadam River.
With the completion of these projects, the construction of important projects proposed by the State Irrigation Department will be completed.CM KCR clarified that the proposed targets set by the state government in the field of irrigation will be achieved.
