Patna : , Dec 29, 2009 : .Taking aim at Bihar Chief Minister for his “Samaj Sura Abhiyan” (social reform campaign in the state), Rashtriya Janata Dal, (RJD), Vice President Shivanand Tiwari said Wednesday that an inebriated Nitish is worse than a person with a liquor addiction. “Nitish Kumar has been touring the state in an attempt to confiscate liquor bottles,” Tiwari said.”People are laughing because liquor bottles were discovered in the state Assembly, with Nitish Babu and the DGP searching for them,” Tiwari jokingly said.
Tiwari stated, “It’s a type of mental illness and I believe inebriation Nitish Kumar to be worse than an addiction to liquor.”
Bihar has made the state’s exchequer very burdensome and is now poor.”He has also put pressure on bureaucrats so that they are following him,” he stated.
He echoed Chief Justice of India N.V.Ramana’s view that 2016’s liquor ban by the Bihar government had “put enormous burden” upon courts.”There are three million cases pending before the courts in Bihar.He said that people have been waiting long for justice and the burden of excessive liquor violations cases has added to their wait.
The Chief Justice of India was at Sidhartha Law College in Vijayawada on Monday to share his thoughts about the future challenges facing the Indian judiciary.
Ramana emphasized that any policy must be considered with futureistic planning and its evaluation before it is implemented on the ground.
Numerous cases are still pending after the 2016 liquor ban ruling by the Nitish Kumar government.Hearing bail applications in simple cases takes one year in court.
The high court receives a lot of applications for bails under the liquor prohibition act.It is hindering the work of the courts because it results from the shortsightedness of different governments.Ramana stated that every law should be thoroughly discussed and supported before it is implemented.
A young couple were arrested at the Hotel of Patna for liquor violation.
They were put in jail with no thought of their future.Tiwari stated that while the act of a couple might be in violation of law, it’s more of counseling than a crime.
Tiwari said that only the poor are being detained in Bihar for most of these cases.
