The number of corona cases in India is on the rise.An average of over three lakh corona cases are being registered daily in the country.Between 8 a.m.Sunday and 8 a.m.Monday, 3,06,064 new corona cases were reported across the country.
Currently the number of active corona cases in the country has reached 22,49,335.This brings the daily positivity rate to 20.75%.In the past 24 hours, 2,43,495 people across the country have recovered from the corona, bringing the total number of people recovering from the pandemic to 3,68,04,145 so far.In the past 24 hours, the epidemic has killed at least 439 people.
According to ICMR, corona diagnostic tests in India have crossed 71.69 crore so far.Covid tests were performed on 14,74,753 people in the past 24 hours.Corona diagnostic tests are being performed in 3170 labs across the country.
Omicron victims make up the highest number of corona cases currently being registered in the country.As many as 162.26 crore vaccines were distributed across the country till 8 am on Monday, according to the Union Ministry of Health.The recovery rate in the country was 93.07% while the weekly positivity rate was 17.03%.
