Her debut Malayalam movie, ‘Abhyuham,’ where she plays a worker at a rubber plantation, has been a remarkable experience. She prepared extensively for her role by working on real plantations and learning rubber tapping to make her performance authentic.

As a native of Himachal Pradesh, Malvi faced the challenge of adapting to a new language during the shoot. While shooting in Kerala, being a vegetarian was a hurdle for her due to limited food options.Nonetheless, the team was supportive and helped her prepare for the role.

Malvi found it liberating to shed vanity and embrace a character that is deeply rooted and unrecognizable.

Unlike typical auditions that focus on looks, this film allowed her to fully immerse herself in the character without worrying about appearance.

Coming from a non-film background, Malvi’s family supported her decision to pursue acting, despite initially pushing her to study medicine.

She is grateful for their understanding and encouragement.

Besides ‘Abhyuham,’ Malvi is set to make her Telugu debut in ‘Tiragabadara Saami’ and star in the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit ‘Ring Master.’ Having a theater background, she finds it easy to remember dialogues in different languages and is considering learning Telugu or Tamil to improve her performances.

Looking ahead, Malvi has a wishlist of actors and directors she hopes to work with, including Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vijay Sethupathy, Samantha, Mahesh Babu, and acclaimed directors S.S.Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam, and Gautham Menon.
