Chandigarh 2 Sep : Relations between Canada and Punjab are strong and varied as stated by the Consul General of Canada in Chandigarh, Patrick Hebert, on Friday after a meeting with Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua about the need to expand trade relations. “Connections between #Canada and #Punjab are diverse and strong.A great discussion today with @CsPunjab Vijay Kumar Jajua, with a joint commitment to expand our collaboration, which includes trading relations.” Hebert tweeted.Hebert.
Prior to the diplomat’s appointment in Chandigarh, Hebert served as a political, economic and public affairs counselor at the embassy to South Korea.
Last week the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in extending an open invitation to entrepreneurs and industrialists who wanted interested in investing in Punjab said that the state will emerge as an industrial center of the nation.
In this regard, Hebert congratulated Invest Punjab and the industrial organization ASSOCHAM for the success of the Vision Punjab 2022 Industry Summit, with the participation of the Chief Minister.
“I appreciate the interest of the those who are interested in conducting business with Canada,” he added.
