Chennai 27 August : Young producer Aruna Guhan who happens to be one of the creative directors of AVM Productions which is one of the Tamil film industry’s most renowned and most reputable production houses.AVM Productions has revealed the story behind the hugely popular Manithan Manithan track from Rajinikanth’s cult film Manithan became the title track.
In a post on Instagram the brand new director, who has gotten into the routine of posting information about blockbusters produced by her company she wrote: “How the ‘Manithan Manithan Song’ became the title song!”
“One day, Rajini sir was having shower in one of the rooms in our studio.He was listening to the song ‘Manithan.manithan” being written for an audio cassette of S.P.Muthuraman sir’s room close by.
“When he came out (of the shower), he praised the track, but SPM Sir explained to him that they hadn’t included it in the film because they couldn’t locate an appropriate scene to put it in.
“Rajini sir replied immediately by asking: ‘What’s this sir? What is the point of missing out on an amazing song with beautiful lyrics and such beautiful music?’ Thatha (Grandfather) as well as SPM sir were in agreement with the decision and decided to include the song in the film.”
“Rajini sir has said he wanted to perform the lip sync on this track himself and they finally made it the title track,” she said and posted a video of the track.
