An RTC bus carrying passengers from Karnataka to Tirupati met with a fatal accident in Chittoor district.While the bus was travelling on Chandragiri Mandal Bhakarapeta Ghat Road, it suddenly fell into the valley.
As a result, 22 passengers on the bus were seriously injured.As per the official reports, two of them were in critical condition.
The RTC officials and the police said that the bus carrying passengers from Ballary to Tirupati met with an accident on Sunday morning.While the bus was travelling through the Bhakarapeta Ghat Road in Chittoor district, the driver suffered from cardiac arrest.
With this, the bus lost fell into the valley.
People travelling in the same route noticed this and immediately informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot and took the injured to Tirupati Ruia Hospital.
A total of 22 people were injured, two of them in critical condition.
The bus driver Gangadharan, who suffered a cardiac attack, was also rushed to the hospital.Currently, he is receiving treatment at Ruia hospital.
Police have registered a case over the incident and are investigating.Police are investigating whether the bus driver had a heart attack or some other reason is the cause for the accident.
