New Delhi, December 13, : .Parliament has approved the amendment bill to The High Court and Supreme Court Judges, (Salaries and Conditions of Service), 2021.
The Rajya Sabha cleared the measure on Monday.Lok Sabha passed the bill last week, which amends the service and salary conditions for judges in the higher judiciary.
It also provides an additional amount of pension and family pension to those who reach a specific age according to a prescribed scale.
The Bill provides that the Bill authorizes the payment of an additional amount of pension for retired judges of High Courts or Supreme Courts when they reach the age of 85, 90 and 95, depending on the circumstances.
On Monday after disruption, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju to moved the Bill to further amend the High Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1954 and the Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1958, and it was approved by a voice vote.
