Los Angeles, Aug 19 : Actress-singer Lisa London, who served as the casting director on “Hannah Montana” has revealed which two actresses were close to winning the role that turned Miley Cyrus an international star. London identified the other hopefuls that were in the race to be the teenager with who also has a life as a pop singer and the names are found in appearances in “Gossip Girl” and “Victorious” according to “Newsweek”.
She posted her video on TikTok to correct a user who claimed that the Mexican-Spanish artist Belinda was one of the candidates to be a part of the Disney show.
“I’m actually the first casting director for Hannah Montana and also was the one who discovered Miley Cyrus,”” London said in her interview with Newsweek.”I would like to inform everyone know that Belinda who is beautiful and charming, wasn’t in the top 3 for the part of Hannah.
London then presented London then showed a document of paper, dated 5 May in 2005 with the title “London/ Stroud Casting”.
It included the names of the three candidates.Alongside Cyrus There were Taylor Momsen, who appeared in “Gossip Girl” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and Daniella Monet who played Trina Vega in “Victorious”.
The audition form included the character as ‘Chloe’.London confirmed that this was to be Hannah Montana’s alternate name prior to her change to Miley.
