Seoul September 1 : In advance of IFA 2022 in Berlin, Samsung Electronics has unveiled a brand new gaming monitorcalled Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB) — which will expand the Odyssey lineup.The company announced it Odyssey OLED G8 is the first OLED gaming monitor.
It it will come in an ultra-thin 34-inch size.
“The brand new 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 is built to an ultra-thin thickness of 3.9 millimeters at its thinnest point, and is finished with an elegant, metal frame,” the company said in an announcement.
“It does not require backlighting, while still delivering real RGB and black to ensure maximum brightness and accuracy in colour,” it added.AThe ultra-wide QHD resolution gaming monitor features an aspect ratio of 21:9 with 100 percent colour volume and DCI-99.3 percent color gamut to provide stunning graphics regardless of the game being played.
Odyssey OLED G8 Odyssey OLED G8 is packed with gaming features that give players an edge in the race.It also lets users enjoy the best gaming experience and entertainment features, as well as lifestyle features all in one location.
The display functions as an entertainment hub with the capability to stream content via Samsung’s Smart Hub, giving access to the most recent shows available on Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube and many other top OTT (over-the-top) services.
The built-in IoT hub allows users to view all IoT devices connected wirelessly to the monitor as well as the SmartThings app allows users to keep track of IoT devices in the home with ease.
The Odyssey OLED G8 will be available worldwide starting in the fourth quarter of 2022, with launch schedules varying according to region.
