By Dr.Chiranjiv Chabra New Delhi 21 November (IANSlife).Winter skin problems include dry, flaky skin, rashes and skin irritations such as skin rashes.Dehydrated skin can lead to many skin problems as the body’s ability to absorb less fluid during winter.
It is important to get our skin ready for the winter. While DIY remedies might be effective, they may not solve all of your winter skin issues.
Let’s focus on winter skin care.
Regularly exfoliate
Winter is a time when we feel our skin doesn’t need to be exfoliated because we don’t get out as much.
Winters can lead to the accumulation of dead skin cells. The dead skin cells clog the follicles, which in turn acts as a barrier for the skin’s radiance.
To get rid of dead skin, you should exfoliate twice per week. Also, exfoliating helps maintain the ideal level of hydration by increasing the efficacy of moisturisers and serums.
Find the perfect moisturizer
It is just as difficult to beat the cold winter air as it is to escape the heat of summer. It is important to choose a moisturiser which locks the skin’s essential oils for a prolonged time.
Make sure to apply the moisturiser at least twice daily. You can use an oil-based moisturizer during winter if you have very dry hands and skin.
While water-based moisturizers are good for summer, they can dry out your skin in winter. For intense hydration, you can choose from rich green tea to shea butter or rejuvenating fruit butters.
Skin boosting products
Hyaluronic acids have a lot of advantages, such as skin hydration and anti-wrinkle agent.Experts across the world recommend that it is the best option to keep your winter skin hydrated.
Hyaluronic acid is suitable for all skin types.Experts recommend that you look for products containing hyaluronic acids when your skin needs hydration.Profhilo recently introduced a popular new treatment. This treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acids into the skin’s layers.
The result is visibly healthy and revitalized skin.
Make your own winter facemask
The benefits of face masks are to moisturize your skin and remove dirt. They also improve the pores. To make your skin soft and supple, apply honey and malai (milkcream) facemasks.Honey can help to remove bacteria from your skin that causes acne and pimple growth.Combine one tablespoon of honey and milk cream in a small bowl.Mix them together well. The mixture should be applied to your skin.Leave it on for around 15 minutes, then rinse it with warm water. You will be able to see the results when you dry your skin.
