The Telangana state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister KCR started at 2 pm at Pragathi Bhavan.The state cabinet discussed various issues related to the people of the state.
On this occasion, the Telangana Cabinet focused on agriculture and waiving off loans.
Also, the state cabinet discussed rains, crops, availability of irrigation water, fertilizers and other agricultural issues.
The Telangana state cabinet discussed cotton cultivation and directed the agriculture authorities to take steps to further increase cotton cultivation in Telangana.
The Finance Ministry has tabled details of cotton crop cultivators and decided to waive off the loans.
As a part of this, the Telangana Finance Ministry advised the state cabinet to waive off loans.
On this occasion, the Telangana Cabinet issued an order to complete the crop loan waiving process between Rs 25,000 Rs 50,000 from August 15 to the end of the month.
The state Cabinet is of the view that 6 lakh farmers will benefit from this.The Cabinet also ruled that EBC category candidates with an annual income of less than Rs 8 lakh are eligible for the EBC reservation quota introduced by the Center.
