Looks like the 14-year-old Samith Dravid, son of legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid is determined to carry his father’s legacy forward.In the latest Under-14 BTR Shield Tournament, he scored 166 runs from 131 balls for Mallya Aditi International School against Vidyashilpi Academy.
Samith Dravid hit 24 boundaries during his knock and helped his team reach 330 runs in 50 overs.
Vidyashilpi Academy, which batted second, managed to score 182 runs in 38.5 overs, losing their 10 wickets.Surprisingly, Samith Dravid picked up four wickets conceding 35 runs in his bowling, playing a major role in the destruction of Vidyashilpi Academy.
In a match the other day, Samith Dravid scored 201 (256 balls, 22 boundaries) in the under-14 Zonal Tourney in the match representing Vice President’s XI against Dharvad Zone.He remained in the crease in the second innings of the same match, scoring an unbeaten 94.
Looks like we will see Jr Rahul Dravid wearing ‘Blue’ and representing Indian National Cricket Team in 3-4 years from now.
