If we recall the past in the year of 1995 Late former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Shri.N.T.Rama Rao imposed complete ban on liquor in the state.In fact he got inspiration of this ban from a woman named Dubagunta Rosamma.She was the first lady to launch movement in 1991 on cheap-liquor ban in Kanigir Mandal, Nellore District.N.T.Rama Rao was then as opposition party leader gave an assurance to ban liquor if his party came to power.As said after coming to power he made a complete ban of liquor into the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Dubagunta Rosamma was 93 years old suffering from multi organ failures for the past couple of years.Members of her family stated that both kidneys of Rosamma were not functioning and had to undergo dialysis, of late even dialysis was not supportive as her body had no strength.
Since two days she completely stopped taking food and demised.Wish and pray god to rest her soul in peace.
