The Shimla Agreement was signed on July 2, 1977 by the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi and the President of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.The agreement was reached after the 1971 Indo-Pak war with the aim of establishing good relations and peace between the neighboring countries.
