Mumbai 7 August : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan returned as host of the 14th season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.The first episode – the 233rd episode in the reality show’s quiz-based timeline — was titled “Azadi Ke Garv Ka Mahaparv”. The Big B started the episode by reciting a patriotic song called “Hum Un Veeron Ke Vanshaj hain” in honor of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence.
Then Bollywood actor Aamir Khan walked into the show with the “Rang De Basanti” track playing in the background.
He was greeted by the audience, held hands with them, and then took a seat with Col.Mitali Madhumita, the first female Indian Army officer to receive an award for gallantry, for the hotseat round, during which he told some interesting stories.
Big B Big B.Aamir: “Are you on Twitter?” He answered: “I am on Twitter because of Amitji.When I was filming for “Dhoom 3” with Abhishek Bachchan in London, he came to shoot with me.One day, as we were talking, Amitji asked me why I wasn’t connected to Twitter and he told me that “Your fans are asking you to join Twitter.’ Because Amitji asked meto join Twitter, I decided to join Twitter after two or three weeks but I’m not sure what to write about and so I keep posting about my friend’s movies.”
In response, Bachchan jokingly said: “You promote the films of your friends and not our KBC.” Pat came Aamir’s reply: “KBC ko prachaar ki zarurat kya? (Where is the need to promote ‘KBC’? ‘?).”
