Rage Against The Machine cancels UK, Europe tours following the injury to their vocalist

Los Angeles, Aug 12 : A leg injury suffered by vocalist Zack de la Rocha has caused the rock group Rage Against The Machine to stop the UK and European tour of the reunion tour.
Zack was injured in his leg while performing in Chicago in July according to “Variety”.

Fans were especially excited about the reunion of the group that is known for its anti-establishment stance and radical political beliefs.

The group, in a statement accessed by ‘Variety’, stated: “Per medical guidance, Zack de la Rocha has been advised that the September and August 2022 UK and European tour of the Rage Against The Machine tour is not possible to continue.It is with sadness that we announce this tour’s cancellation.

“Rage With The Machine” will be wrapping up their show at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12 and 14, and Zack must head home for recuperation and rest.

The lengthy travel time, the flights and a strict program in Europe, the U.K.and Europe are just too of a risk of an opportunity for a full recovery.”

The band expressed their regrets for the unfortunate development, and they said: “We are so sorry to all of our fans who have waited for so long to see us, and we hope to Rage again soon.Contact your place of purchase to get a refund to all headline shows.”

Following Zack’s accident the band, well known for their anti-establishment anthem “Killing in the Name’ continued to tour with the singer performing in a seated position.

“Variety” also mentions that the group will perform in the New York’s Madison Square Garden before concluding for the summer.

In the UK, Rage Against The Machine were scheduled to perform in Edinburgh, Leeds and Reading in the UK, followed by Paris, Antwerp, Hannover, Zurich, Malaga, Madrid, Vienna, Krakow, Zagreb and Prague.

They’ll resume their tour in February 2023 with confirmed dates in the US and Canada until April.
