Mukesh Sahani (Vikassheel Party of India) president, who is also minister in Bihar said that he had flagged off 165 vehicles where a boat was mounted.
The boat is my party’s election symbol and the vehicles will traverse 165 Assembly seats, which have large Nishad populations.

The campaign uses e-rickshaws as ‘boats’ to raise awareness and create support among Nishad voters.

The boat is a symbol of the community’s livelihood and an environmentally-friendly mode of transport.

Lord Ram was ferried across the river by Nishad Raj on this boat.According to him, the boat is of immense importance for us.” he explained to IANS.

Sahani stated that the boat would transport his ideas to 165 constituencies during the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Sahani is currently in Lucknow and said that he would be meeting with members of his party from Purvanchal and Avadh, Bundelkhand and Bundelkhand regions and western Uttar Pradesh, to determine seats and choose potential candidates.

He stated, “I will distribute publicity kits and motorcycles to the Assembly sections before they return home to their constituencies.”

Responding to a query, Mukesh Sahani stated that he is fighting for Nishad rights and will continue his fight until his community gets reservation.

Sahani uses the name “Son of Mallah” to refer to himself and said that he is confident about winning support at the Uttar Pradesh election because some parties have used Nishads until now as a voting bank, denying them their rights.
