Residents Of Coonoor Want Kattery’s Horticulture Park Named After General Bipin Rohat

Selvamurugan of Nilgiris Heritage Protection Site told IANS that if the Government of Tamil Nadu renames Kattery Horticulture Park to General Bipin Rawat it would be a fitting tribute for the brave soldier, and his team who lost their lives in the chopper accident.The park will be named after General Bipin Rawat, whose memories will continue to inspire future generations.

Kattery Horticulture Park is situated near Coonoor on Ooty Mettupalayam National Highway.Nilgiris, Ooty and Ooty both are very popular tourist destinations.

T.A.T.A.This will instill a sense of national pride among children visiting these places as part of school trips.

He stated that General Bipin Rawat’s death, Madhulika Rawat his wife, and eleven other soldiers were “taken emotionally by people of the nation and local people were also distraught by the tragedy and such huge implications.”
