London, November 20 : .Durham’s fast bowler Brydon Carrse was ruled out from the England Lions tour of Australia by the England and Wales Cricket Board.This decision was made on Saturday. Carse, 26, tore his cartilage in the right knee while practicing on the Gold Coast during the quarantine period.
The ECB released a statement saying that Brydon Carse, a seam bowler for the Lions and Durham, was unable to travel with his right knee cartilage damaged.
In the following days, the pacer will return to England and be examined by a consultant for knee injuries to determine the best course of action.
Carse was part of a fourteen-member Lions team, which is currently in Australia with England’s Ashes team.He made his England debut in the international summer series against Pakistan.
Two intra-squad matches were set for the Lions, one in Queensland, and one in Queensland.Australia A will face them in a match lasting four days before they return home on December 16.
