San Francisco, November 23rd : , Qualcomm, a chip maker, has made key changes in the branding of its Snapdragon chips.These include a switch to single-digit series, and removing three-digit numbers from its system. According to the company, they have made bold visual changes in their system from logos to product badge designs to other elements.
We have entered an exciting new phase for the Snapdragon brand.
It will continue to stand for high performance and premium design.The company stated in a blog post that it will build on the brand and continue to improve our technology.
We have now separated the Qualcomm brand from Snapdragon.”Sensored will become a separate product brand, with special ties to Qualcomm brands where applicable,” the company said.
New colours have been introduced by the company, including Midnight and Gunmetal as well as Nickel, Snapdragon Red and Nickel.Only premium-tier products will use gold.
The company stated that “Our iconic fireball will be elevated and manifested in new visual assets, and other creative executions.”
Mobile platforms will be able to transition to single-digit series/generation numbers, aligning them with other product categories.This includes the newest Snapdragon 8-series platform.
This news is ahead of Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chips debut on November 30, at the Snapdragon Technology Summit.
