Preparations for Telangana Municipal Elections are underway.Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan confirmed that his party candidates will be contesting in the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana.
Janasena Party has released an official note about the same.
‘Janasena will be contesting in the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana.
Due to some reasons, the candidates are required to file their nomination as independent candidates.We will not be taking part in the ‘Glass’ symbol in the elections.
Every candidate taking part in the elections will have our complete support’, read the press note.
Currently, it is unclear how many candidates are filing nominations.
Currently, the 150 seats are distributed as; TRS 99, AIMIM with 44, India National Congress 2, and TDP 1 seat.With Janasena-backed candidates like to take part in the elections, it will be interesting to see how far this will have an impact.
Meanwhile, political analysts in Telangana expressed that, there would be hardly little or no difference.
‘Janasena failed to create an impact in 2019 AP Assembly Elections.
The same is likely to take place here too.Until and unless some strong candidates come forward, Janasena may not win even a single seat’, a TRS MLA said under anonymity.
