Instead of 45 percent marks, now students who have passed intermediate examinations and qualified in the entrance test are eligible for admissions.

The government’s move of doing away with minimum qualifying marks comes as a one-time measure in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.Earlier, as per the TS EAMCET notification, candidates should obtain at least 45 percent marks (40 percent in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2 pattern except for the B Pharmacy course.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the State government has passed all candidates of the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations without conducting the exams and they were awarded minimum marks.Several students who qualified in the TS EAMCET however could not get the ranks as they failed to meet the eligibility criteria of 45 percent marks in the intermediate.

This order applies only for this year i.e.2020-2021 as a special case and shall not be made as precedent in the future, and shall not be applied from 2021-2022.
