Ahmedabad 21 August, Ahmedabad : In the fear the possibility that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia might be attacked during their trip to Gujarat on Tuesday and Monday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded more security from the police to ensure the safety of its two chiefs.A group headed by AAP Gujarat in-charge Gulab Singh and the State Legal Cell president Pranav Thakkar handed over an email to the office of Director General of Police (DGP) on Sunday.The memorandum states, “It has been brought to our attention by sources and avenues in the media that a few anti-social elements, influenced by the ideology of the ruling party are planning to target Arvind Kejriwal as well as Manish Sisodia.”
It is also stated in the memorandum “The government is dissatisfied with the growing the popularity of Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders in the state.If a similar incident occurs in the state, it will be a negative for the reputation of the state.To avoid any unwelcome incidents, the police need to provide more security to Kejriwal and Sisodia on their trip to Gujarat.”
Kejriwal is expected to be arriving in Ahmedabad the next day.Then, he will travel to Sabarkantha district, and address a meeting in Himatnagar in which he is expected to make another promise to the people of Gujarat.On Tuesday, Sisodia and Kejriwal will visit Bhavnagar.
