Mohar Kumar of Vijayawada had earlier lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta alleging that Ashok Babu did not have a B.Com degree while working in the Commercial Taxes Department but submitted false documents as if he had read it.The Lokayukta, which inquired into the matter, received a report from the Commercial Taxes Department.The department officials were directed to lodge a complaint with the CID seeking a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
Geeta Madhuri, the Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, has lodged a complaint with the CID against Ashok Babu.A case was registered against him under sections 477A, 465,420 of the IPC on May 25.Ashok Babu was arrested for conducting a thorough investigation.

It is alleged that Ashok Babu was framed with a false case in Service Matters.Chandrababu was angry that the YCP government had sided with Ashok Babu and arrested him because he was fighting over employee issues.
