“The BJP national President came here and referred people of Goa to as ‘adharmi. We had already told local BJP leaders about the insulting remarks made by the BJP national president.

“We had urged BJP leaders in the State to apologise and condemn the statement.”It has been four days since then, but the silence from the BJP leaders have further accentuated the insult,” Chodankar said at a Panaji press conference.

Nadda, addressing party workers at a meeting at Amona’s Chief Minister’s constituency, had said, “But Mahabharat, Ramayana also tells us that in every age where there are people who are working to improve the world, there are some who work to increase adharm.” Nadda spoke to the BJP workers. We must work to bring them on the path to dharma.Dharma is defined as “what is right and good in society”, what is the code for conduct, what’s good for everyone.

Chodankar stated that Nadda’s comments had harmed Brand Goa.

It is a big insult to Goa’s national leader when he calls Goans adharmi and suggests that a code be created to help them return on the path to dharma. They should apologize. They have damaged the brand image and reputation of the state,” Chodankar stated.
