Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Tuesday announced the intermediate board exam results with 62.58% of students clearing the first and second year exams.
A total of 9,48,153 had appeared for the intermediate exams in both first and second year exams across 1,473 centres in the state out of which 5,93,291 had passed the exams with a combined passing percentage of 62.58%.
For the first year, a total of 4,82,675 students appeared out of which 2,97,741 passed the exam with a result of 61.68%.In the second year, 4,65,478 students appeared out of which 2,95,550 passed with 63.49% passing results.
Statewide, girls excelled boys in both first and second year results with 68.68% girls and 54.66 % boys passing in the first year whereas, 71.57% girls and 55.60 boys passed in the second year.
Medchal topped in the state in the first year results with 75% students passing, followed by Rangaredyy and Komaram Bheem which stood second with 73 5% students passing and Mulugu stood at 3rd with 72%.
In the second year results, Mulugu topped with 85% students passing, followed by Komaram Bheem with 81% and Medchal at 75%.
Education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy appealed to students who could not clear the exams not to panic or feel pressured.She also urged the students to take the results in good spirits and wished them best for the EAMCET exam scheduled on Wednesday.
