After sorting out the Telangana state formation issue, the Congress High Command is trying to have good grip over Telangana state.For this, it is trying hard with every possible way.Will the TRS merge with the Congress or will it have an alliance with it in the general elections is the million-dollar question haunting Congress, TRS leaders and workers.
Presently TRS chief KCR is busy with series of discussions with congress bigwigs and according to sources the merger might occur with lot of conditions from KCR.Many political critics are speculating the conditions that he will impose to Congress High Command.
One of the party leader indicated TRS chief may keep up his promise to Mrs Gandhi that the party would be merged if Telangana is granted.
But the final decision will depend on Mrs Gandhi’s nod and acceptance of terms and conditions by KCR.According to Delhi sources KCR demands following conditions to merge TRS with Congress.
1) Special category status to Telangana.
2)National Project status to Pranahita-Chevella.
3) AIMS to Telangana.
4) IIM to Telangana.
5) 500 MW Power Allocation to Telangana from NTPC for the next 3 years.
6) Gas Allocation to Shankarpally and Nedunur Power Project.
7) Increase of Civil Services Officers as only 27 IAS, 10 IPS and 15 IFS belong to Telangana in the present AP cadre.
8) Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Posts to be filled with TRS leaders
9) 60% of the seats to be allotted to the TRS candidates in next elections
