No player wants to be on failing side, but Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been carrying a bad record with him all these years.
He has the highest number of defeats in IPL history with as much as 90 loses.He must have felt a sigh of relief, as the record was beaten by Rajasthan Royals‘ Robin Uthappa.
After Rajasthan Royals were crushed to a 37-run defeat by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday, Robin Uthappa has become the latest player to have the highest number of losing matches beating Virat Kohli’s number.Now he stands at the top with 91 loses in IPL history.
Although it is a strange record to discuss, KKR’s captain Dinesh Karthik and Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma also stands in the top list to have the highest number of defeats.Dinesh Karthik occupies third place with 87 defeats, while the Hitman has 85 loses.
In the previous auctions of IPL, Robin was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3 crores.Robin was an opener, but the inclusion of Jos Buttler, Steve Smith and Sanju Samson has made him come down the order.
Till now Robin has played for three matches in IPL 2020 where he scored just 5,9 and 2 respectively.
