BlackBerry OS devices will stop functioning on January 4

San Francisco, December 31, : , Blackberry has ended support for BlackBerry OS 7.1 and older, BlackBerry 10 software and BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.This announcement was made by the company in January.
According to the company, devices using legacy software and services through any carrier or WiFi connection will cease functioning reliably as of January 4.This includes for data and phone calls.

The company expressed gratitude to its loyal customers and business partners for their support over the years.

This device will not be able to receive updates over-the-air and will therefore no longer function reliably.

BlackBerry Link and BlackBerry Desktop Manager will have limited functionality for certain applications.

BBM Enterprise (BBMe), and BBM Enterprise Enterprise for Individual use (BBMe), will still be accessible on different platforms, the company stated.

The service change will not affect users’ ability to view their Password Keeper data on BlackBerry OS 7.1 OS or earlier.It is also stated that the local storage of this information means it can be accessed locally.

The company stated that if you want to switch to another Password Management Application, or BlackBerry Password Keeper Android, then you’ll need to create new entries manually on your new smartphone.
