Congress has filed a complaint with Telangana chief electoral officer Vikas Raj against chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for using Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of the chief minister, for political purposes during elections.Telangana Congress leader G Niranjan, in the complaint to the CEO, said the CM violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

“As per the MCC, public property should not be used for political purpose, particularly after MCC comes into force.Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao distributed B-Forms to 51 candidates.

KCR handed over B-Forms to KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and handed over B-Form of minister Prasanth Reddy to MLC K Kavitha.

Though Pragathi Bhavan is the official residence of the chief minister, but this is the public property which should not be used for political purpose.

Handing over of B-Forms at Pragathi Bhavan should be treated as MCC violation and request to take action against CM KCR for the violation,” Niranjan said in the complaint.

“We have requested the CEO to direct all MLAs, who are candidates in this election, not to use their MLA camp offices for political purpose.

The chief minister addressed a meeting in Husnabad on October 15 and handed over B-Form to BRS candidate Sathish Kumar. We urge the Election Commission to take into all the expenses of the public meeting into the expenditure account of the BRS candidate as Sathish Kumar was present on the dais and received the B-Form,” he added.
