Chennai, November 18 : , A man aged 48 was killed by lightning at Radhapuram in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred on Wednesday night while Muthu was out grazing cattle.
His family searched for him after he didn’t return to his home in the evening and discovered his burnt body.
After being injured during lighting strikes, seven others were also admitted to Tirunelveli District Hospital.
The district was hit hard by heavy rains and the water ran into Manakavalam Pillai Corporation Hospital, causing discomfort for patients and others.
Heavy downpur is still evident in Tenkasi, but it has stopped at Kanyakumari.
Last week the northeast monsoon unleashed their fury and left many people homeless.
