Bhuj 28 Aug : Premier Narendra Modi has on Sunday vowed to make India an industrialized country by 2047.
The Prime Minister who’s currently on a full day visit to Kutch and Kutch, declared: “After the devastating 2001 earthquake, I promised that the district would be developed and, in 2022, I will be able to see how it is developing.Today, I’m pledging to make India an advanced nation by 2047, and I will definitely achieve it.”

A little earlier in the day he made a dedication to ‘Smriti Van’ in Bhuj and ‘Veer Balak Smarak’ in Anjar, in the memory of the people who died in the devastating earthquake.These two monuments, he said, will bring Kutch on the map as Japan’s Hiroshima museum.

Prime Minister Modi stated that he was in Delhi when the earthquake struck, but was the Prime Minister rushed to Gujarat the next day.

Gujarat was the very first state to adopt a Disaster Management Act, which later inspired the rest of the country, he stated.

Today, he laid the foundation for new projects and committed them to national projects of 5,000 crore rupees.

The PM claimed that Sarhad Dairy was established in the year he was chief minister of the state.At the time, the daily milk consumption was 1,400 litres, which has grown to 5 lakh litres daily.

Milk producers earn around 800 crores from the contribution of to the milk production in the dairy.

In the past twenty years, Kutch has got 45 new colleges and 250 hospitals and a plethora of check dams.

Kutch is the first earthquake-resistant hospital in the country, Modi said.

He thought of all his old acquaintances from Kutch who had helped the development of the city.
