The two cases in Lucknow come against the backdrop of rising Zika virus cases in Kanpur district that has reported 105 cases so far.These two Lucknow cases are occurring against the background of increasing Zika virus cases.Kanpur has already reported 105 cases.
One case was reported from Kannauj district and Lucknow is the third district in Uttar Pradesh to have a Zika footprint.A single case was reported in Kannauj, and Lucknow is now the third Uttar Pradesh district to be affected by Zika.

“Both the patients (in Lucknow) are stable and have no symptoms.
