The Telangana government is moving ahead with a strong plan to keep a check for the traffic in Hyderabad.The construction of the Cable Bridge has already eased traffic on the Madhapur-Jubilee Hills route.
The Telangana government has undertaken another new project as part of the strategic road development project for the Hyderabad residents.State Municipal Minister KTR will inaugurate the Rs 66.59 crore Hi-Tech City Railway Underbridge (RUB) on Monday.With a length of about 410 meters and a width of 20.60 meters, the ROB will be available on the Kukatpally – Hi-Tech City route.This will be a boon for IT employees.
Before the lockdown, this route carried 5 to 6 lakh vehicles in a day.Meanwhile, in the first phase, as part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), several flyovers and underpasses from Gachibowli to JNTU have been made available to the public at Biodiversity, Mindspace, Ayyappa Society, and Rajiv Gandhi Junction.
Currently, a large sump has been built under the bridge to store the floodwaters.The water stored in the sump will be diverted to greenery plants planted in the Moosapet.Already 18 such projects have been undertaken at a cost of over Rs.1010 crores and another 20 such projects are under construction at a cost of Rs 4,741.97 crore.
